HI how are you guys doing today ?

I have a 2003 chevy tahoe. I have the none digital air control unit.
The air con only works on speeds 1-4 and as soon as I turn to 5 it shuts off and if I turn back to 4 it works again.

Same thing going on with the top air controls for the rear A/C unit. Only works on 1 and does not work on 2-3

I have researched and found that there are two seperate fuses for the blower motor. One controling the high speed (5) and another one controling speeds 1-4. I have also found that it might be the resistors.

Does anybody have an idea of where exactly are these blower motor resistors located ?

And does anybody have any idea if the problem is the actual control with the knobs for the air ?

Sounds to me like the blower resistor.. If you look in from the passanger side.. Its up almost behind the center console - but in the vent duct.. Easy to pull out and replace - you might have to pull down some vents - cant remember but I do remember it was like a 10 min job

There is a special policy for the blower resistor and connector. You can call your dealer with your VIN and they can tell you if you're covered or not.

The blower resistor and connector are covered for 10 years or 150k miles from your original in-service date.

That was great info guys I really appreciate it thank you very much.

Now, is the actual resistor located in one of those harnesses that I need to unplug ?
(The two pin connector and the 7 pin connector) ?
