so ill give a quick back story before jumping into my question.
About 2 years ago, when i was riding stock rims, stock z71 springs i had a shock go out. it was making a thud noise, almost like bottoming out. Swapped out with OEM replacements.
Fast forward. I now have drop springs ( craigslist buy ) i think old beltech. probably a 2.5" drop. relocation brackets and the OEM shocks. Ive got one out again. I dont drive my how much anymore. but would like something that is going to last.

Any thoughts?

I don’t have them but Arnott seems to be popular or just go back to oem. The thud was probably the bump stops being hit.

Then your right. Have you been under the truck? Something that easy to replicate might mean something loose in addition to the bad shock. Standing on it wouldn’t compress the springs that far
