Body lift/mount

Well my buddy was looking at my truck today and he noticed that I'm missing the body lift spacer on the back right side. The stock body mounts, cushions, whatever they're called are also missing. One day a few months ago the truck started riding pretty rough, the whole thing would kinda rattle around more than it used to whenever I hit a bump. I've had mechanics look at it but all I ever hear is that it's an old truck so it's gonna ride rough but I knew something was wrong because it started riding bad out of nowhere one day. So when they looked over the suspension they never found anything wrong and basically told me tough ******* and that I'm shit outta luck. I tried two different mechanics that I know and even took it to a shop.

Anyway, sorry for rambling. The question is could that missing spacer and mounts be causing the rough ride? I didn't even know the things were missing so obviously I don't know shit about shit. Either way, I'm gonna get it fixed. 4 wheel parts wants 10 bucks for the spacer but the stealership wants 70 for the mount/cushion things so I'm gonna try to find them at a junkyard when I have the time.

In a word- yes. You sit in the body. The wheels attach to the frame. Whatever attaches the frame to the body can very drastically alter what goes from the road, into your butt. Have you thought about doing a body lift? If so, now's the time. If not, I still advise you replace all the bushings with polymer bushings. LMC sells a kit, as do many others. They're not too expensive, and I don't think it's too bad a job, though I've never done it myself. Best of luck!!

Agreed, no matter what it needs to be fixed
