So if you saw my last thread then you read of the crapy condition my truck is in. I am going to do my best at describing to you what I am asking.

So the truck was siting a little low, wired. The back bumper is bad. left side is pushed down and the back door did not go down. So I checked it out from under and well the body mounts are rusted out of where they should be. Currently I don't know weather it is rusted out on the frame or on the chassis. I will let you guys know tomorrow. I want to fix this and my dad knows how to weld, but no welder right now. I want to ask if any of you guys have come to this problem with your truck and is it costly or a cheap fix?

I did a cheap fix with some pieces of wood where the chassis is and the body to keep the truck up, I know don't do that it is unsafe but temp fix is just that temporary.

Whether you do it yourself or pay someone to do it they are going to have to cut out the bad rust and weld on mounts.

I would try to go to a junkyard and find a 2 door tahoe. Cut the rear frame off and splice it onto your truck. If you can't find a 2 door you might have to get body mounts from a 4dr tahoe or pickup, some steel, and weld up new mounts.

Get some pictures so we can see what it looks like. :)
