I have a 99 tahoe 2wd 4 door, that has some body roll. I changed out the shocks this weekend since they were the originals from the factory. I got the Monroe Sensatrac's from Oreileys. I drove it and it still has some body roll. has anyone else have this problem. what else could it be?
Thanks Justin

I have the exact same vehicle and had the same problem. I replaced the front and rear bushings with a set from prothane (complete kit) which included body bushings. What a difference. Not to sure about the body bushings just yet (a little to firm and may go back to rubber) but the "roll" is certainly gone.

I bought the kit on eBay from a company here in Texas. Here is the kit I bought. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Prothane-To...pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr

As for ease of installation, the rear was not so bad. The front required removal of the upper and lower control arms along with the sway bar, etc. Not so much difficult as time consuming. I also had it aligned after wards. The handling and ride are MUCH improved.

willua11...I don't have step bars but I do believe two of the mounting points for the step bars would be two of the body mounts (i'm sure brand dictates a lot). The body has ten places in which it mounts to the frame.

Forgot to mention that I also replaced the upper and lower ball joints and inner and outer tie rods since I had it all apart. I hate half assing things. Just a thought if you plan on replacing the bushings. Good luck

E range tires will help some too... I had a set of P range on the truck when i bought it and they were just about bald. I replaced with some E range and it go rid of some of the roll. E range have stiffer sidewalls.
