Boiling or bubbling sound from the front dash area....is this a heater core issue?

Just noticed it lately and that the heat up front isnt that hot. Anyone ever have this symptom before? Would a core flush help with this?

Could be a clogged drain hole and a evap. core build up of water.
When my older car made a splash/water beingpoured in a hot pot sound thats what caused it.
Mainly happens when turning the car left/right too....does that happe with yours?

I hear this one mine mostly on start up. Sounds like liquid being sucked into a hose type of thing. Also hear it throughout the day sometimes. It will be good to hear if anyone knows anything

mine makes the sound all the time when the truck is running. I am going to flush the heater core tomorrow and see if helps at all. I am just not sure which hose is the inlet or output hose.

Just do a complete coolant change and flush out the radiator and heater core, undo all major hoses and flush them out really good!!

flushed out the heater core and nothing came out besides coolant. The bubbling sound went away but the rear heat intermittent issue is still there. Too cold to be draining and flushing the entire coolant system so spring time I'll hit that but for now just trying to get the rear heat working again.

I've been having a similar issue on startup as well. I can hear water and air circulating from inside the dash, do you think this is the same issue?

Try shutting off the defroster and see if the noise stops. Often times the condensor (which runs when the defroster is engaged) causes a gurgling sound that appears to come from directly behind the dash and kind of high. It will also make the same gurgling sound for a short duration of time when the vehicle is shut off.

If it does subside when dis-engaged, you have a normal aging vehicle.

Ever figure out the cause of this noise?? Mine is making the exact same peculating, boiling water noise even with all electronics turned off. I haven't noticed any decrease in the heat or ac performance but, the noise is driving me crazy! What is causing this sound and how do I fix it??
