been there done that..

Best method is replace the OEM radiowith one that meets your needs.
Use the correct adapter and everything will work like stock, including steering controls..
This will also up the Volume quite abit as the OEM bose amp will be driven harder..

But heres the route, most expensive to cheapest.

1: Radio, best sound and function.
2: Pac adapter, FM radio quality sound, full function if you can get the damn thing to work right and not burn up your radio, be warned.
3: Isimple adapter, sound is decent. it plugs inline with antenna.
4: RF plug in cig lighter POS thing, AM radio sound quality.
5: Hard wire a plug inplace of Satt radio input. dunno about sound quality as I have not done this.

I have tried 1-4, currently use #3.

Everything you want to know about all of the above is here on this site..

I run a USASPEC ipod adaptor which piggy backs into the stock system behind the radio. I run mine thru the one of the XM presets(because I currently don't subscribe). Sound quality is great--just a tad quieter than the radio or CD.

I also run the iSimple similar to BLK 06. Was easy to install and agree with him that sound quality is good, but not as loud as a cd.
