Thanks guys! I know I can jack up the rear end to find my gearing, but anyone know what the stock gearing would be?

Would it be listed in the RPO codes, the sticker in the glove compartment? Mine is listed there.

GQ1 -- AXLE REAR, STD RATIO
GT4 -- AXLE REAR, 3.73 RATIO
GT5 -- AXLE REAR, 4.10 RATIO
GU4 -- AXLE REAR, 3.08 RATIO
GU5 -- AXLE REAR, 3.23 RATIO
GU6 -- AXLE REAR, 3.42 RATIO
G80 -- AXLE REAR, LIMITED SLIP (POSITRACTION)

HC4 -- AXLE REAR, 4.56 RATIO

EDIT: New member, and I didn't see the multiple pages to the thread, so this question has already been answered regarding using RPO codes. Sorry about that!

Installed new rear brakes pads and 1-1/2 inch rear spacers. Now the offset looks much better as the fronts stick a little bit outside the fenders.

Maiden voyage drive to the Desert this past weekend towing my 18' Toy Hauler with no toys in it. I would weigh it to be around 6500K.

Some grades got trans temp to around a 240 degree level, average towing on flat was around 210. Engine temp stayed around 190. Does this sound about right?

Going to change the trans filter/fluid/gasket and engine oil/filter before the next trip next month. Going to be adding about 1500 pounds to it with Desert Toys in tow.
