unknown at this time.
vacuum booster is replaced with hydraulic unit powered by power steering system. Looks similar to this.

+1 on sunlit's comments.

Rear disc conversion is only for looks. If you want to improve stopping power start with high performance pads and if you want more, research the hydroboost conversion.

Your Tahoe utilizes a "vacuum" system to power assist the brakes. Heavy Duty (3/4 ton & 1 ton) models chevy made came with hydraboost instead of vacuum. Hydraboost systems tap into your powersteering pump.

From what I've read, hydraboost setups are the best bang for the buck and are a significant improvement. However, it takes time and research to do this the right way...b/c errors with the install can cause the brakes to fail.

For new AC Delco parts, you're looking @ $700+. Some guys will just take used setups off of heavy duty trucks and use that.

i did the swap with an SSBC kit. kind of a pain in the ass install but wasn't tooo bad. I needed to fabricate a few things since it wasn't actually designed for my year.
Heres a few shots. next brake upgrade is slotted front rotor and a good set of pads.

if your brake lines were leaking that bad you would have no brakes.

its a Stillen Rear Disc Kit off a 99-00 Escalade (bought it off a member from the old forum) i have the smaller of the two drum sizes offered in the 1500 OBS SUV's. the kit is for the larger drums. I can send you pictures with measurements if you want to double check you axle tube flanges. Also the E-brake cables are for a 4-door.

Kit is used and needs a set of pads and could use the E-brake cables replaced (IMO) at some point but they are not froze up.

Kit retails for around $1500 with the stainless brake lines, I just want to recoup some of the money i have in it. looking to get $300 out of it.
