I'm looking to simply replace the front/rear brake pads and keeping the stock rotor, etc. on my 08' XL Denali. What are my pad options? Can I go with ceramic pads on an OEM rotor?

You will probably get a little less dust with a ceramic pad, but I could be wrong. Pads are pretty cheap even for the high end ones, so just look for low dust low noise pads.

1) Are there any specific pads I cannot get with the OEM rotors?

2) What pads should I look at??

SW CT,
1) you can use whatever pads you like as long as they are the proper size, etc.

2) Personally I would look for Hawk ceramic pads I run them on my tahoe I did upgrade my front rotors to SSBC slotted and they are bigger than stock, in the rear I used stock rotors...I did notice a nice improvement in stopping power.

Yaron,
everyone is going to have an opinion about who makes the best pad. I know that I do, but Im not trying to sell you on my preferences. But to be honest, there is nothing wrong with OEm pads, its the OEM rotors that are the weak link. Like I said before, just make sure you find a low noise pad. No need for a high performance pad with OEM rotors.
