I am going on a trip to san diego and since my front pads are squeaking bad I am going to change them, but with what ? OEM?
I heard that ceramic pads were very ******* rotors making them prone to warp faster.I did a google search and did not find much info.
If someone has some input that would be very helpful.
Thank you

How many miles are on your truck? I am betting you will need to replace the front rotors as well. The OEM rotors on these trucks are garbage and the pads will sometimes outlive the front rotors. Also, shops dont really just replace pads anymore without resurfacing the rotors. It would be in your best interest to replace the front rotors and pads at the same time with an upgraded system. You can do an upgraded rotor and pads up front for under $600. Your rear brakes should be fine.

Also, EBC and Hawk make very good pads. You want to go ceramic for sure to keep the brake and noise down.

Thats good. You still might need to have the rotors resurfaced, but at least you wont have to replace them. I would look into some Hawk or EBC pads. There are plenty of other great pads out there, but I have always had excellent experiences with those two. I am running the EBC green stuff pads right now and am very happy with them.

+1 for EBC Greens. Make sure you bed them per their specific instructions. It takes a while to break them in and they squeak a lot during that period. After that pretty silent, well most of the time.

Do you know anyone who would have those in stock in AZ?

Check in the vendor section on this site. They are probably your best resource
