My wife says that the brake pedal on her 2016 Tahoe squeals when she presses it to start the car. It’s a new issue, and it hasn’t happened any time I’ve driven it. Seems to be more common if it has not been driven for a few days. Any ideas?

I've had this happen on a few vehicles. When you press on the brake pedal it squeaks. It sounds loud mainly because the engine is off and there is no other interior noise. I wouldn't call it a squeal though. It's more of a squeak coming from the brake lever.
