1996 Hoe and I have been having brake problem. Master cylinder and reservoir have been changed and the pedal still goes to the floor. There are no leaks in the system or lines. Think it may be the ABS modulator but there is no dash light coming on. Mechanic thinks it may be leaking into modulator but how much could leak into the modulator. Can the brake system work with ABS disconnected ? Has anyone had this problem with their HOE ?

If the new master cylinder isnt prepped properly, there could still be some air pockets trapped in it.

Possibility the master wasnt the issue though. Check the seals on your calipers and make sure they arent leaking. Check the wheel cylinders in the rear also.

If no leaks are found, you may be looking at the brake booster.

Been there. How are you bleeding the lines? I had them used a pump to suck the fluid through the system after we flailed trying to bleed them. And yes the system will run without the ABS system, I currently run with the fuse pulled and the fail safe is a standard brake system.
