I am planing an overhaul on my brakes rims and tires on my 01 Tahoe. I plan to go with 24" rims and tires and want to go with a 15-17 inch rotor. I also want to add stainless steel brake lines. any suggestions on a good drilled and slotted rotor? what about the calipers? are all steel brake lines the same??

Thanks for your help

Baer, SSBC, Wilwood, and Brembo make good brake kits. You can even upgrade to the OEM nnbs brakes. Just upgrading the rotor size alone will help by positioning the caliper farther away from the center, creating more leverage. If you're budget allows, a complete kit with calipers, rotors and lines will of course make the greatest improvement.
I've been running a 4-piston SSBC kit for about 4-5 years and it's been great. Tremendous improvement in braking, and cost under $2k.
The hydroboost conversion is another upgrade you can do. I haven't got around to doing it to mine yet, but I felt the improvement it made on my brother's truck.

JK thanks for your response, i have a follow up if you don't mind. 1. Are you using drilled slotted rotors? 2. do you happen to remember the model number kit you bought?

We ran the SSBC BBK on our SSS, great kit. We sell Wilwood, and SSBC BBKs; SSBC are a bit more friendly on the wallet.

Slotted. Don't remember the model # though.
