This just started a few days ago on my 2011 Suburban. When the fan or AC is on there is a smell of burnt rubber/plastic coming out of the vents.

Anyone have this issue?

Sounds like the blower motor resistor is on it's way out... they like to fry and melt the wiring... remove the cover on the bottom of the passenger side dash and check for burnt wiring... if it is be sure to replace both the pigtail and the resistor...

Any chance you have a link to the parts needed?

Thanks,

If you own it long enough and your getting the burning feeling out of your vents do two things. Buy the resistor and replace it ASAP and cut out the access hole for the cabin filter and enjoy losing the feeling of sitting on your couch driving 70mph down the highway with your sliding glass window open.

If it persists, it’s the bearings in the motor which means the fix is to replace the assembly. The latter will melt the harness if the fuse doesn’t catch it.
