Well, now that I have the Diablo InTune and ripped off the resonator I feel I need to change out the factory intake with something a little better. Looking around I see pricing from $150 to the sky. What's really the difference???? If I buy a Spectre $150 unit, does it work as well as a $300+ K&N unit?????? What are you guys running with? Is it better to go with a plastic or metal tube?

Airaid Jr did the best in Blackbears testing.. and oddly enough, it's probably the cheapest, and still uses the factory air box.

Not sure if it's zip code dependent???? Once you select the tube/filter kit go to check out then you put in "save20" which is a sale of 20% off. You should see that come up as soon as you go to their website.

What's the difference with the Synthamax?

SynthaMax is a non-oiled, synthetic mesh material, washable/reusable filter
SynthaFlow is an oiled, synthetic/cotton gauze, washable/reusable filter

Most go with the SynthaMax I think (I did), I believe I have read that the oiled filters are more cumbersome to clean/re-oil and that they have the potential to drain oil thru your intake (when not applied properly)
