Hey guys, can you all take a look at my spark plugs, and let me know what you think? I just did a plug swap last night, and my truck seems to be running better.

I am looking to see if there is anything seriously wrong. I had a little bit of a miss over the last couple weeks. But like I said, it appears to be remedied by a plug swap.

253,000 miles on the truck.

a couple of those look toasty, other than that what do you want to know, plugs are rated for 100k, you didn't say at what mileage they were last changed

Like Wes said plus the very top one looks like it has burned oil deposits and the tip is more eaten away. Toasty is a good word. You been adding oil? The bottom one looks like it is starting to do the same thing.

Did your plugs come pre gapped? What type did you use?

Gaps are suppose to be .038". They are usually very close out of the box.

I cleaned those nasty plugs up in my media blaster, gapped them, and put them back in. 20,000 miles and 1 yr later they are still going strong.

That top one definitely shows oil consumption.
