Trying to find a cam. The tsp stage 2 or the comp cams 402 are my main choices. I have 1 7/8 long tubes, CAI, blackbear tune, flowmaster, I will be installing a trunion upgrade and stronger pushrods and springs at the same time. Not sure what the best springs will be but the comp springs are extremely high priced. I want a nice lope at idle. What do you guys think?btw jason at blackbear suggested the 402 comp and jason has been amazing in every aspect for the past year for me. Every tome he talks i learn something. But maybe he doesnt know abiut the texas speed cam yet? I think they are a good comparison. And maybe the tsp will give me more lope. Screenshot_2017-02-02-19-20-03.png

Looks like the tsp cam has more lift. I hears dual valve springs are better but they are ******* the pushrods and lifters and valve retainers. I think im going with .080 chromoly 5/16 pushrods. Unless something better will fit easily. Any insight from people with more experiance?

What trunion upgrade? Most of them are garbage and start to fail within 1K miles. Unless you're running a VERY wild cam with tremendous lift or a solid roller the stockers are by far the best. They will last you the life of the engine.

I have seen 4 stock rockers fail in 4.8 and 5.3 and 6.0 engines. While the trunion show damage, it is a controlled damage of soft metal. I can hear it before it goes. The stockers just fail. And in the fleet vehicles I work on, it leads to blown engines with the moron drivers we have. The trunion to me are just about 150$ insurance policy.
