Cam selection

Ok I am a big cam kind of guy.. I love to thump around town lol.. But I know something with the wieght of the kon would not gain much benefit from a huge cam. Plus I would hate to run a stall over 3k.. Actually hate anything over a TB stall for now..

A guy is offering me one smoking deal on an MTI X1 cam.. I had one before and they make great power and would go great with some juice.. cam specs: 230 227 .591 .571 112... I am thinking it may be just a tad too much for the kon... But at 125 I would hate to turn it down..

I found a local reputable cam shop here Delta Cams. Like $89 for custom grind with my cam core. I looked at the lingenfelter, comp cams, and lunati for choices. Any blower plans?

No blower plans.. And I am scared of regrinds.. I just hear a lot of stories. Unless its a custom grind new cam yes but regrinding stock scares me..

keep it to about 112-114 LSA. Look at the Comp 212/218

yea, or some 918's will work, and get hardened pushrods while your at it.

Yes, 112 LSA will be fairly choppy.

208/220 .554"/.566" 114LSA +4 advance would give you more low end grunt for towing

I would avoid LS6 springs... they are barely enough for the mild LS6 cam. Most LSx guys go with a minimun of 918's and they are fairly cheap for the added insurance.
