Can feel road bumps and irregularities in steering wheel

I am starting to feel the highs lows and bumps in the road in the steering wheel. Can anyone steer me to what suspension component would likely effect this.
Could it just be something loose?

I want to try to diagnose on the floor.

So far found a bad motor mount and Changed intermediate shaft no change in ride. Will do motor mount next week.

question have you lifted wheel and pushed in and out at 12 and 6 position and also 9 and 3 position

Is it lowered? Pitman arms like to go out as does the inner and outer tie rod ends.

The inner tie Rods have about a 1/4 inch of play. I can't physically see them but that about what the boot will give.


Also seems like the center bushing on the rack has too much play. This is my third rack and I hope the last.

Brought new inner tie rods for the hell of it. It was the only part I did not change when I did the suspension. Will install Tuesday.

Rack was shot. I'm on my third gm rebuild in 1.5 years.

Center bushing where it mounts to frame, just a poor design and I think they rebuild them with crappy parts.

It's been under warrantee each time so I am not too stressed over it. They give you a year every time they put a new one.
