Can I use 255/85R 16s?

I'm looking at putting a new set of tires on my new 96 hoe. Wondering if I'll have clearance problems or other fitment issues if I put them on my stock 1996 tahoe. I have 265/75R 16s on it now. the 255/85s should be just over an inch taller and just about same width. What do you think?

I've never seen one running that size tire. It sounds like it's gonna be tall and skinny. What brand of tire are you looking at.

You should be fine but make sure you suspension is in good shape. But that tire size is very unusual.

changed my mind guys. stuck with the LT265/75R 16s. Went with the Goodyear Silent Armors.
