Can the backup camera brightness/contrast be adjusted?

In my owners manual, it says while in reverse and rear camera view is on the nav screen, push the MENU button and it should display brightness and contrast controls on the screen.

I cannot get mine to do this, what's the deal?

Try doing it while not in reverse I’m not sure it lets you do much of anything while in gear. This was the first sign that my camera was going bad.

When not in reverse, the menu button brings up the normal menu options for the Nav, radio, camera (grid lines, warnings), etc. Nothing to adjust brightness or contrast of the rear camera.

The backuo camera in my 2011 looked great, but thus one on my 2012 is a bit fuzzy/out of focus and I've cleaned the lense.

Definitely sounds like the camera is goitbad or the wire to it might be frayed somewhere. If the monitor looks good when not using the camera then the camera is likely the culprit.

Check Page 9-47 of the downloaded 2012 Yukon Denali owner's manual.

It says to press the Menu button while the RVC image is on the display. Should show a little sun with - and + for Brightness and an eclipse with - and + for Contrast.

That's what I'm talking about, it shows nothing on the display when pressing the menu button while in reverse

If pressing the hard Menu button or twisting the Multifunction doesn't get it moving, I'm out of ideas Tom, sorry.

In reading the how to for mine, I have to press the soft menu button first and then the hard menu button to pull up the menu.

Nope, turning the knob doesn't do anything either.

What soft menu button are you talking about?

A button on the touch screen on mine, which is older version. However, I just opened manual again and cannot find it, maybe I'm confusing "display" and "menu". My brain hasn't been running on all cylinders today!

That’s hard to believe James. Even 1 cylinder down you’re ahead of me. On my 07 I only have a hard menu button but Tom try any combination of holding down the hard button and one of the buttons on the bottom of your display
