Just curious... I was under the impression that I needed a 6" lift with my 20X12's wheels with a 305/55-20 tire. I'm now under the impression I do not need to go that high. My Tahoe is being lifted TOMORROW... so my question is can you crank a BDS 6" lift down to a 4" or 5" lift? Or should I stick with the 6" lift?

I really don't want my Tahoe to look stupid... for example I don't want the wheels to look like they are too small for the lift. Thanks in advance. - Ray

Call the company.

I wish i knew for sure about urs...

but I have a Rough Country 6 inch on my 2 door and it can be lowered to 4 in lift by removing the rear leafs and cranking down the front.

Hope this helps.

Here is a pic of my truck without the rear leafs and Tbars cranked all the way down. the tires are 285's

You will probably need the full 6" with the 20x12's. They have a crazy offset. It will look good with the 305/55/20 and the 6".

20x12's = Sexy! Can't wait to see it man

I know with the Rough Country lift you can. I would ASSUME (not positive though) that you can do the same.

You should be able to but as stated above you may need that 6" on a wide wheel.

Thanks guys... the help is much appreciated. I think I will just wait and see what the truck looks like with the 6" lift. If it has to be turned down an inch or two I am sure I can tackle that. Thanks again - Ray

I doubt you will want to lower it.. also you will most likely need the lift so you dont rub on your front bumper.. keep rubbing and steering in mind.. the 6" should look fine..
