Candy painting my tail lights!

Just posting this up here because very soon i will be painting my taillights fully red with the exception of the reverse section....

anyways does anyone have any advice? i got the red dupicolor metal cast spray and the scotch bright pad not sure what clear coat to get..ill also be giving it a very light layer of tint to get a nice dark red apple color :buffer:

I used testors candy apple red and had a bodyshop clear them and they came out awesome....

X2...I used the Testors clear instead. Cannot be said enough that prep work and wet sanding between each coat is key...rush and it will turn out like shit.

yeah im not sure how much its would cost to get a body shop to do clear coat it but id rather do it myself if i can..Thanks guys! Someone on here used the dupicolor metal cast red and it came out really well so we'll see. gotta wait for a warmer day...Im going to do two coats of red maybe three and the same with the clear one coat of tint(maybe).

yeah illl be getting them up soon i have been just really busy and its hard to get everything done when theres days where i dont have time to set them down and dry im doing it very soon though waiting for a shipment first

What did you spray that with? That's exactly what I'm wanting to do to mine, but with shaded reverse lights.
