Can't win...Installed nice Volant CAI, then 2 days later...dumb deer.

Well, I guess when it rains, it does pour...

I bought a really nice Volant CAI from Brett (95escahoe) and got it all installed. Huge improvement for sure. Not that the old one was bad, but this one is much nicer...

Then, a mere 2 days later, I was on my way to work, and it was still dark, and a stupid deer ran out in front of me...Not much I could do...Boom.





Took out the corner of the grille and the corner and parking light. Headlight is fine. New parts are on order. I didn't even realize until the following day, that the deers big butt caved in my passenger door. Thankfully, it was this door, as It needed replaced anyhow.

I guess it could have been a whole lot worse for sure, but, I still made out better than the deer...It didn't make it.

More fixing on the way...

I hit it at about 55. or the amount of damage, I feel pretty good...(better than the deer does) as I know it can be fixed pretty cheaply...

Well, I am no expert in deer flight, but I believe that since i hit it basically in the head, it spun around some way and its big butt caved in my door. That's the only thing I can figure out.
