Hi everybody,
Long time lurker, and really appreciated the useful information I have found in this forum. Has saved me a bunch of time, and a bunch of money. I have a problem, that after multiple hours of searching, and squinting at circuit board posts, I still cannot definitively answer, and I need some help.
I pulling the gauge cluster to replace the stepper motors, I found this capacitor rolling around inside. Photo is of the bottom left side of the circuit board (m7 unused):
In looking at the circuit board, the most likely candidate area looks like C359.
Except for most of the steppers not working, the rest of the gauge cluster seemed to be functioning acceptably.
Does anyone have a high res photo of this are showing if/what kind of capacitor they have? A stupid question, since I am sure it is there for a reason, but do I even need to worry about it? Anybody know what the purpose of this capacitor is? Noise filtering?
Any help that someone could share here would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
