I bought my 2016 Yukon at the end of last year. It was perfect with its bucket seats for my two children. I had all the cargo room from the folded down 3rd row.
Then surprise... Baby no. 3 is coming, and I'm a bit worried about how to fit groceries and or stroller in the cargo area with the 3rd row up.
I've thought about trading mine in, but I have 3,000 miles on it and I don't want to get hosed.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Have you thought about switching the Captain's chairs to the bench? Supposedly an easy switch and bench owners are sometimes eager to switch.

I thought about it. I was quoted about$6,000 from the dealer due to the wires and plugs. My husband seems to think that it's not as safe to have three car seats in a row vs. two in captains and one in the back.

I wonder if installation would be hard? The dealer told me that there are plugs that need to be bought. I'm assuming due to the heated seats. What do you mean by Long chasis? Like I have a Yukon, so a YukonXL?

Interesting. I'm in Idaho and didn't like the games the dealers where playing, and or the inventory, so I bought from Dave Smith, about 7 hours away from me. I wonder if any dealers will work with me?

Does it decrease the value to go from buckets to a bench? I would prefer a bench, and to keep all my kids by me, but husband thinks it won't be safe to have three in a row. Off to google!

Thank you all!

When my buddy went from 1 kid to 2 they went from an escalade to a yukon xl because of all the ancillary stuff. I got the wife a shorty for now with our first on the way but i see a longer one on the horizon.

in the older body style it was said to be a 30 min job give or take.basically some bolts under the carpet.
i dont think this would be any different.

My 3 kids sit comfortably in the 2nd row bench. Only one is in a car seat [middle], and there are full latches in for all 3 seats. Specifically, 2 lower anchors and 1 top anchor on all 3 bench seats. The Yukon was one of the very few vehicles that allowed all 3 to sit side-by-side, in comfort. The bench was a no charge option when I ordered it.

Previous to this, I had a Buick Enclave which actually had more interior room. I had captain chairs in the 2nd row which meant I lost a lot of cargo space.

I'd explore doing a seat switcheroo with another member. Post it on a few forums.

Good luck!
