carpet pad ?????

so I got the headliner out and the carpet kit.....1st ? Whats the deal with dynomat? Can I use that instead of the pad that comes in the denali? And should I get a new headliner or just rewrap the old one? I had my sunroof leaked so thats why iam doing all this....fyi

Dynomat is great for noise and vibration reduction but not cushioning. I would still use padding as to create the soft feeling under the carpet. Otherwise you'll notice the hardness from the floor pan. Additionally, it'll be another layer of sound deadening. As for the headliner, I think you can replace the entire thing for $100 or so. I would just replace with all new so you don't have to deal with rewrapping the existing.

Thanx rob....ended up dyno mat the whole floor of the truck , new pad and shampoed the carpet....headliner was 135$ ....it turned out really nice....and the dynomat is great for the new magnaflow duals i just put on too...:)

I definitely want to dynomat my entire interior too and replace my carpet. But, my kids are 9 and 7 and will just eff up new carpet right now. I'm thinking about removing it to install dynomat, shampoo it real well and then just replace it. Maybe put in new padding. How did yours turn out? Any before and after pics?

I will post pics soon , it turned out real nice....My boys are 5 and 8...so I feel your pain!!!lol
