I just got the front of the kit on, but not without some struggle. The bottom shock mount is my concern of whether I did it right.
The metal on the bottom of the shock when removed from the Tahoe is slanted a bit, meaning not perpendicular to the shock on one axis. When you put the CCM piece on top, I turned the shock assembly 180 degrees in order for the 3 studs to line up on top of the shock assembly.
My problem is that the bottom shock metal is now slanted the opposite way. I managed to get the bolts in & tightened, but not without a LOT of struggling.
I kept the top of the assembly out of the top mount and pulled as far as it would go toward the outside of the vehicle in order to get the lower mount straight enough to get the bolts in. I then forced the top of the assembly back into it's mounting location. Did I do something wrong here? Thanks!
