Hi,

I have a 2000 Tahoe LT with the manual air-condition system.
I would like to install the optional air-condition system with the AUTO-function.

has anyone done this before ?
does anyone know what has to be changed (besides the control panel) ?
do both control-panels have the same plugs in the rear ?

thanx a lot !!
Mike

on most vehicles out there, its a lot more than just the panel....its got sensors (in the case of ours, its got sensors in the headliner) and all sorts of stuff...and i would imagine in GM fashion, the computer would have to be reprogrammed to make it work. certainly not worth it. ours has it but we never use the auto setting. didnt on any of the vehicles we have had with the auto setting...it bugs us...

Not worth it. There is a very ******* annoying fan above your head in the headliner that reads air temp to install, and you need an hour on a tech II ($80+-). That's after you find the parts and tear apart half the vehicle.

.

thank you for your opinions

I am used to the AUTO-function in all my other american cars, so I definitely will do the change.

I already bought the control units on ebay - very cheap .....

I thought perhaps there is a CHEVY-technician in the forum who can tell me what exactly has to be done

thanx a lot
Mike
