2003 Yukon Denali XL AWD 6.0
I pulled the moth eaten rear axles to cure the horrible rear grinding that reverberated through the truck. Pulled and replaced bearings and axles with appropriate Dorman axles/bearing kit. Had no success pulling the previously replaced axle saver bearing with slide hammer so used further encouragement with a 10 foot 1/2 inch water pipe and hammered against the jaws of the slide hammer from the opposite side. 2 hours of exhausting slide hammer with no movement was replaced by success after just 30 seconds with water pipe and big hammer.
Now the ride is smooth and quite. Unfortunately, I am now getting speed sensor codes on both rear wheels. I also have a speed sensor code at the left front wheel after installing a Timken hub with speed sensor.
I would appreciate ideas from this thoughtful community.
