Check engine light

Sunday evening the check engine light came on in the hoe and so i was going to go get it checked at lunch on monday and i decided to go off while i was driving. has this happened to anyone else before. i don't know what the light came on for because its not on now to be checked. any ideas

You can still get the code checked. The computer saves them over time. Depending on the code scanner at your local auto store (like advance or autozone) you can look in the code history to find out what it is.

As far as the code, it could be just about anything.

was it just on or did it seem like it was flashing. and as dylan said you can pull it as a stored code.
