What’s up everyone just gonna chime in with a relatively simple post about checking your fluids.
Hadn’t had much time with the Yukon over the last 6 months, because of work, so it hadn’t been driven much pulled the cap
Off the power steering fluid due to a consistent whine after start up and that lead to a new pump and a full flush. I also just went to new pump when I realized I had hydroboost and my pump was assisting my breaks.
I’ll attach some photos of the power steering fluid I pulled out. The burnt smell and the look just completely blew me away.
I’ll search to see if there’s a write up on replacing the pumps I’m sure there is and I didn’t take pictures but if not maybe I’ll type one out relatively simple
Process.
One picture is the oil drained out into container the other picture is through the drain top on my fluid vacuum system
So just the reminder to check that fluid!!
