I've had the '00 suburban a little over a year and a half now. Was playing on the Fullsizechevy.com forum, but it tends to mainly be 4x4 guys these days. Should have grabbed an NBS burban years ago. Always wanted one, and once I had two kids here, it was time to pull the trigger. I sold my 16th birthday present, my '89 full size extended cab bagged chevy that I had been driving since '92, which covered the cost of the new suburban.
The old truck, sold at 230,000 miles. Original engine and trans, only had the heads rebuilt in 2000 due to overheating. Didn't drop a lick of fluid. Went through quite a few mods over the course of 21 years.
The new(er) truck. 250,000 miles, need to replace the oil pan gasket.
A little taste of the exhaust, which changed more than I thought it would with the new heads.

She's now sporting Corvette 241 heads with sodium filled valves, long tube headers, high-flow cats, CAI, new headlights and turn signals, custom front bumper light hole covers (never liked the open holes in the bumper valance), new shocks, all new brakes including SS brake lines, hawk HPS pads, cross-drilled rotors, and calipers. Future mods include a 2/3 drop, custom magna flow exhaust, custom subwoofer enclosure in the stock location, and LED taillights. Then I'll hopefully leave it the hell alone and just enjoy the truck. Never got to do that with my old pickup. Was always working on it.
