Chevy Parts Dept....sucks....What is the USB cable p/n

I recently installed OEM navigation with the USB on the back of the unit...I didnt have the usb port or cable that goes from the unit to the center console. So, I called Chevy parts dept told them what I wanted they found the part numbers, I paid over the phone and had to wait a week for the parts to be delivered to the dealership. When I picked it up from the dealership everything looked legit, I got out to my hoe opened it up and the cable was about a foot long...dont think thats gonna make it to the center console lol. Took it back in and they would not take it back since I had opened it. I was a little pissed but it was only 25 bucks so it didn't bother me to much, what bothered me is they could not find the correct part number for the cable I was needing. I even gave them the vin number of a tahoe that had the cable. So, if anyone needs a usb cable that will reach one of the charger ports on the dash please take it from me, but someone please let me know what is the part number for the usb cable that goes from the head unit to the center console?

Have you tried Radio Shack? Same stuff, cheaper price.

I thought about it, but do you think a regular cable would work without coming loose?

The only reason I was going to go the GM route is because the cable snaps into place at both ends...

That is the part number for the "Personal Audio Interface" which is used to hook up an ipod. Normally this cable would be used to run the ipod to the glove box, not the center console, which is why it is shorter.

I know that is not really what you were looking for, but that is all that GM lists for their parts that would be like this.

Surely they have to have a part number for the 2010+ models that have the usb mounted in the center console??? I am not looking for just an iphone/ipod connection, i need usb so I can charge/play music on whatever...

I would bet that that cable is a part of the entire radio wire harness and isn't normally available by its self.

Go to Best Buy or anywhere else that sells USB cables. That sucker is NOT coming loose once you have it all bundled up.....
