I'm having a difficult time choosing what I want to do next. I've got a Summit White Hybrid Tahoe and have a few mods already. I'll be getting my projector retrofits in new headlight assemblies next week and will install over Thanksgiving.

I'm trying to decide what do to next:

1) upgrade factory Nav to Pioneer AVIC-Z150BH and retain all OEM functions - cost ~ $1,000 total (or less if I can snag a good deal on eBay)

2) upgrade wheels/tires/suspension from factory Hybrid 18's (I'd sell my oem 18's with brand new tires if anyone is interested) to TBSS 22's with Nittos and a 2" rear drop. Estimating ~$2,200

I'll admit I'm a gadget guy so 1) will be more fun for me, but the way those slight drops and TBSS 22's look is incredible. There's not a whole lot of other mod's I want to do. Was thinking maybe a tune but since I've got a hybrid I'm likely staying far away from that.

Any recommendations would be great. Or good deals on any of this even better so I can go ahead and do both! :chewie:

I'm considering grabbing a Pioneer 8500BHS (http://tinyurl.com/pcf5tom), pretty cheap on Amazon.

If you're a gadget person, grab the headunit first since you'll use it every day, all day. You can't see the wheels and drop while you're driving anyway :Big Laugh:

That's how I'm leaning right now.

Why are you looking at that unit and not the Z150BH? I thought about that as well and just using a navigation app on my phone to display on the unit, but if that doesn't function very well or my phone dies then i won't have any nav. Plus if you want it built into the unit itself you still have to buy the pioneer navigation module to go with it. I don't know enough about the apps and if it works well enough from your phone to the headunit itself.

The Z150BH has the nav built in and it's a larger screen...

Well, my plan is to mirror the phone to the screen, so I don't need nav etc b/c I already have it, so the 8500 is cheaper and has more EQ settings and features than the 5500BHS. Naturally the downside is if I don't have cell service. I use Spotify and Gmaps, so my main goal is to get them on the screen. I picked up Axxes GM Onstar/OE Satellite Retention Module with Warning Chimes GMOS-LAN-012 on Amazon for $20.50 about 2 months ago (seemed like a pricing error, but they shipped it and only charged that much), so I'm part of the way there.

That's interesting. For the harness I've been looking at the access ax-adgm100. It appears to be the newest module they have and retains everything including factory bluetooth. I wonder what the differences are between it and the one you got.

I'm not sure what the differences are, but I don't have factory bluetooth, just Bose and of course OnStar. I thought about skipping the harness altogether as I did when I did an install on my brother's 07 Silverado. You lose the door chimes, but it's kinda nice not having them and neither of us subscribe to OnStar.
