I cleaned my throttle body and intake about 2 weeks ago and I have a whistling sound that appears to be coming from the throttle body. Thinking it just needed time to reset itself, I drove it. It has now been about 500 miles and I still have the same noise. It appears to be coming from the throttle body itself.

Any ideas on what this could be?

I would take the intake housing off and put it back on and be sure everything is on correct and tight, a whistling noise is probably air getting sucked in somewhere.

I agree. If it was the TB there would be idle or drive issues. Has to be the intake. Try a stethoscope to isolate the sound. Unless it doesn't do it while parked.

Removed and replaced the intake twice, still whistling. Any other ideas?

Would it be possible that there is an issue with the butterfly valve in the throttle body? Seems like it may be coming from there

not unless you managed to bend it or something, my 03 silverado used to whistle when I got on it never did find the source.

lightly spray starting fluid around the TB area if there is no change in idle/rpm than look elsewhere, all air plumbing, pcv, brake booster vacume source connections. i would say use the starting fluid for this task also but im 62 and dont really think "safety first" at my age. if your young and dont want to singe all the hair off your face than do a visual check. you didnt overtorque the attachment haardware and pull one of tb studs outa the plastic manifold?

My previous truck was an 03 suburban with a 5.3 flex and it whistled at part throttle too. Usually when rounding a corner in town at 25 mph or so. Always thought it was normal. Drove it five years like that.
