Climate Control removal

2005 SLT. Seems to have a "mind-of-its-own"! Before I crack something: how do you remove it? How much of the dash has to come out? Isn't it just 2 screws and it pulls out/plugs in once you get to them?

Pull the dash cover, just snaps in all around, then 2 screws and it clips near the screws on each side
