I've been driving my 03 for two years without knowing how fast I'm going!!! Seems like all the others gauges work just fine... What is the best way to get this cluster fixed??? Any way to just reset the cluster?

I've heard this guy is the best:

http://home.comcast.net/~digital_dash_solutions/03_silverado_repair.html

He does all the stepper motors, can add a transmission temp gauge (your cluster should already has provisions for it), can add escalade overlay as well. He also does official GM software updates to fix bugs, replaces lights, cleans the whole thing, tests it. Your mileage stays the same as well.

He has a bunch of clusters on ebay as well. Pay ~$400 for one ($200 + $200 core charge). Just give him your mileage and he programs it in. Of course you have to sign any legal disclaimers and whatnot about the mileage. Five year guarantee on all work and parts.

The second guy that was posted does not do your original cluster. He sends a replacement cluster with the options that you want. I have the black esky style cluster from him. In the end, it will only cost you 300. 100 is a refundable deposit that he holds until you send back your old/damaged cluster.

Thats not true. You can send him your cluster too. He has both options. Repair of your cluster prices:

Here are some other services available for your cluster.....

Basic repair starts at $110.00 (includes 1 gauge stepper motor only)....

$50 additional to replace all gauge stepper motors.
$10 additional to replace all back lighting bulbs.
$15 return S&H.
$5 shipping insurance.

The following services are availabe with full rebuild only.

$30 additional to add a transmission temperature gauge.
$50 additional to convert to the SS style (includes trans temp gauge).
$50 additional to convert to the Denali style (includes trans temp gauge).
$80 additional to convert to the Escalade style (includes trans temp gauge).

$70 for mileage correction. Fill out this ODOMETER DISCLAIMER and include it with the cluster.

Note that also includes the software update on your cluster as well as testing to make sure it works properly.

Also the refundable core deposit on his cluster sales are $200, not $100.
