Has anyone had an issue with the cluster lights not working? I have a 1995 Yukon and the cluster lights won’t turn on immediately when using the switch. Headlights running lights climate control lights and interior lights work fine. After driving around 30-40min the left half of the cluster will turn on then after about 1hr or so the right side will kick on. All the Needles work fine just the lights aren’t working properly

there is a plastic film on the backside of the cluster with copper leads running thru it, over time some of those leads can crack and this causes the light problem, it can be repaired usually. or replace the film depends on how brittle it is.

Yea I tried cleaning the copper where the connection is but didn’t make a difference. Nothing seems ripped or damaged.

my guess is there is a crack or poor connection somewhere, you will want to look closer use a bright light and maybe a magnifying glass.
sometimes you just need to get the bulb twisty thing tighter, maybe try rubbing alcohol on the connection points. and/or a pencil eraser.
and I believe the right half only works if the left half is working, the right gets power from the left or the circuit has to be complete on the left for the right to light up
ran into this issue way back.... restoring a couple trans am's which use the same type of setup on the clusters.

Sometimes a wire "bridge" is needed between bulb holders.
