on my wifes 2005 yukon w/ a 5.3 i am having the following codes showing up 171 and 174 started showing up yesterday after an oil change. the oil change place said it was almost out of oil. he showed my wife the dipstick. when i got in it today i noticed rough low rpm idle, sometimes dies but starts right back up. changed the maf sensor, should have just cleaned it. i saw on some other posts that there is a good possibility that it could be the intake gasket, sure hope not. im fixing to go outside to check that out. the reason however that i changed the maf was that when i unplugged it, the rough idle goes away. so heres hoping its not the intake gas and that someone has had the prob and know the solution. thanks in advance.
also, possiblu unrelated, possibly not. about 2 months a go the check engine light came on, i got the code which i dont remember but was told that it was a malfunctioning thermostat. bought it but have not put it in yet. i have never seen the engine temp rise above optimum.
