Put an AEM Cold Air Intake into the '05 Denali with 124 K. Yes, they will make it louder when you punch it. However, that is not the case. It's when I am on the highway in 4th gear that it is just annoying as hell. It's so dam loud, can't even have a conversation. If i punch the accelerator, and drop the transmission down into third, much quieter. But that should be when it's louder, pushing a lot more air through it.

Have had Cold Air intakes before. Something is not right here.

Are you sure it's intake noise and not some other new problem? If you still have the stock intake, you might try reinstalling it to see if the noise is still there.

I re-tightend the hose clamp. It helped. I called AEM. Apparently they are married to K&N, they told me that K&N moves more air. Good to know.

If its still too loud for you try loosening each section and try to shift it a little. All i had to do was turn a k&n angled filter on the pipe of my pontiac to make it more noticeable inside.
