I have one on my 99. I really like it, quieter than the k&n but you can still hear the difference under full throttle and it uses the stock air intake location from the fender. And the filter is dry so no oiling necessary and it doesn't seem to get as dirty as my k&n did.

Volant best bang for your buck!

Has a 4in collector biggest out of all of them. MOST important part is that it hooks up to the side hole in your fender and doesn't have heat soak!

Get it and love it! All others are a joke

well let see here. i suck air from the engine compartment and sometimes run 150° intake air temp on hot days and i still have more power then with out it. you know it is just not cold that makes it all work better. i think flow disturbances play the most important type. unless volant has dyno numbers to back up its design i just dont think it is good enough.

on a vortec no use really the turbulance to atomize fuel better gets smoothed out in the plenum. and the injectors are farther down stream then the TB. there is a company the makes the vmax plenum spacer who produced a dyno sheet claiming 21 hp. however unless you have a raised roof you can not fit a kn fipk and the plenum spacer at the same time. I will try out the spacer one day but need the taller hood first.
