I would run sea foam for 100 km and change the oil. It works. The instructions are different. They want you to warm the engine and the dump in the product and only idol for 15 min. I found leaving it in for a day or so. Depending on driving habits the change oil. I put it in on a Friday and drive to work and shopping Saturday then change oil Saturday afternoon when it's still hot or Sunday. After warming up the truck. Then synthetic oil of choice. Try it you will be surprised on the difference.
It also works on small engines.

Yea I Just Put A Bottle Of Sea Foam In The Gas Tank. I'm Gonna Put Some In The Crank About A Day Or So Before I Change It. I Tried Synthetic Once On My Truck But Didn't Really Feel A Difference. I Also Heard To Try Adding Zinc Since All Motor Oils Besides Valvoline Have Eliminated It From Their Oil

I Have An Automatic Start On My Truck So By The Time I Get In It's For The Most Part Ready To Roll. I've Noticed Lately That From A Cold Start That I Hear A Noise That Would Sound Similar To You Tapping Metal Against Metal Real Faintly. After The Truck Has Been Driven For A Couple Blocks It Goes Away. I Thought That I Just Needed A Tune Up Bc I Haven't Gotten One In A While So I Did A Full Tune Up And Noticed It Was Still Doing It. I've Been Taking It For Oil Changes Regularly So It's Nothing Oil Related I Don't Think So.

Also When I Drive And Slow Down The Truck Will Cut Off And I Have To Put It In Neutral And Start It. Like I Said This ONLY Happens When I First Start It After It's Been Sitting For A Few Hours Or Overnight. I Figured I'd Ask The Experts On Here Before Sending It To The Shop Blindly. ANY Info Would Be Greatly Appreciated, Thank You

Is it a ticking noise ? or a simular noise ? I fired up my truck yesterday and i have the piston slap noise, I wonder if that is what you are hearing on yours. mine noise goes away also. I don't have the stalling problem tho .

If it sounds like a sowing machine then its lifters ticking, if its a deeper tick than that, its probably piston slap.

Yes A Ticking Noise But A Very Light Tick. I Took It To The Shop, Said Most Likely It's The Exhaust Manifold Gasket. Seems Legit

Nah Definitely Not A Piston Slap. I Had That 2 Winters Ago Bc I Put Thicker Oil In It And When It Got Into The Teens It Sounded Kinda Loud LoL. I Changed The Oil IMMEDIATELY And That Went Away All Together. I Took It To The Shop The Other Day, More Than Likely It's Just The Exhaust Manifold Gasket. Now I Gotta Look At The Labor On That Job To See How Much It's Gonna Run Me

How Big Of A Job Is That? Im A Newbie LoL

i did one bank at a time
-disconnect yer coil pack and unbolt it after you pull off the plug wires of course
-unbolt yer valve covers set those aside
(now i only removed 1 rockerarm at a time you can do the whole bank just dont mix them up)
-spray carb cleaner down inside were the lifter is then clean the push rod and rocker arm i dunked them in oil
-then put yer pushrod back down inside the lifter and squirt carb cleaner in the pushrod hole
-let it set for a bit and put yer rocker arm back on and the rocker arm have to be torqued to 22 lbs
(when you get the rocker arm off put some pressure down on the push rod and you should feel some play in the lifter youll notice when you have one thats stuck or sticking)
