ok just bought a 2001 yukon xl with 180k. Overall, it's a great suv. However, it has a few issues Im trying to trouble shoot so any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Let me start by saying that Im not a mechanic, but anything short of transmission rebuilds or a internal engine issues I should be ok.
Symptoms....
Truck cranks right up, but kinda sputters at first and just barely idles till warm. Yesterday, about 5 minutes into warming up in the driveway the check engine light came on.
Occasionally the "brake" and "abs" lights will pop on and always together never just one without the other. I read that it may possibly be a ground ???
If anyone has some prior experience with these issues please let me know what you dud. Thanks.
