Hey guys, I did my 100,000 mile maintenance, which included new plugs, wires, and valve cover and intake manifold gaskets. Since I was doing this, I also did the knock sensors and put in a new oil pressure sending unit, since it was so easily accessible with the manifold off. This was back about 4 months ago. Ever since...my oil pressure gauge reads at 60 right away at start up...and pegs at 80 when I am on the gas at times.
Is this a normal thing after replacing the sending unit? Should I be concerned?
Thanks so much for the help. I really appreciate it.

My oil pressure is almost always at 60 or above, and I'm at 216k miles currently. Also take that reading with a grain of salt as we all know that it won't be the exact pressure reading...it's a guesstimate. **better than the alternative of being too low

the op says it pegs at 80 and that isnt normal.

i would suspect either a faulty pressure sender, or faulty dash gauge
