cone filter vs air box

are there any advantages to changing the air box to a cone filter? and any risks or disadvantages?

more dirt on the air filter, more frequent cleaning

Nope, ran mine for over 5 years, no problems. If you do a lot of mudding/water crossings, I would recommend a sleeve.
