Okay, I have a 2004 Tahoe Z71 and I would like to replace the heater hoses as well while I have everything apart. I am confused on what connectors I need. I am being told these are wrong by amazon but other sites say they will fit. Any idea guys?

Basically I would like to replace both hoses, and all the connectors at the heater core. This is what I have come up with - is this right or do I need something different? What am I missing?

I thought about just taking it apart and taking the pieces up to autozone, but from the videos and articles I read often crumble, so I was hoping you guys might be able to direct me to what I need to complete the heater hose change out. I think I am on the right track. You guys have helped me so much, I really appreciate it. I am hoping I can build up my knowledge and pass some along.

Okay, so talked to 1aauto today, btw - they are awesome! They did not have the parts put they sent me an amazon link with the above two connectors

Dorman 800-414 Heater Hose Connector

Dorman 800-413 Heater Hose Connector

They said I could hook the heater hoses with clamps right on the ends of these t connectors, no extra connectors needed, sound right?

So I contacted Dorman today and they told me that they do not have connectors for the hoses to connect to the T's. They said that my hoses should have those built in. I also went to NAPA and they tried a few connectors but nothing worked. Looks like I am going to connect the hoses directly to the T's. Just keeping you guys posted on what I am finding. I am not buying hoses all over again especially since I got a good deal on the branched hose.

Hey Guys,

So went with my wife to Bumper to Bumper this morning and they fixed us right up with a Doman 800-403. It took on spray of silicone and BAM on nice and tight. Hope my pain and help someone else out. 04 Tahoe Z71 rear air and heat. Below is all you need to replace your heater core connectors.

So some news guys, the Dorman 800-403 has failed me. I can see it leaking right at the connection. I may just have gotten a bad part, but I went ahead and bought a delco part just in case. cross-referenced and found this on Amazon:
Genuine GM 15055342 Auxiliary Heater Inlet Hose Tee Connector, Black

I am going to install this tomorrow - time and weather permitting, and I will let you know how it goes. I am hoping that since these are not that old, they will come off easy enough...and the new one will install well.

The manufacturers probably assume that a list of recommended maintenance items for long-term owners wouldn't make them many friends-they certainly know that o-rings in the coolant system are prone to fail after many years/miles.
