Hi Guys,
I just bought an 07 Tahoe and one thing I didn't realize when I bought it (online) was that it had manual A/C (The 2 dials instead of the screen). I figured as an LT with rear A/C it would have the screen, but obviously I was wrong :emotions122: . My question, is there an easy way to convert it? I assume its not just plug and play correct?

Thanks,
Evan
PS- Does anyone else think its dumb that the rear A/C has a nice screen but the front doesn't? Makes no sense to me....

From what i'm told its alot of wiring and just not worth it. It's like re-doing your whole electrical AC electronics.

it can be done, but to answer it is not going to be easy. Its basically a whole new system due to the 'auto' function and the wiring would probably be a nightmare.

I work at a performance shop where we do a ton of wiring (car audio and such) just trying to gauge how difficult it is... Sounds like it might be more work than its worth... I don't even care about having the "auto" feature, just want the screen heh...

Its really not that cool, it takes forever for me to push the button to turn the temperature all teh way up and down, and to turn the speed up.

Personally I like the "screen" but not so much as to go through the trouble of swapping. Dials are certainly quicker to change.

Can anyone comment on how the manual A/C works with the remote start system?

I obviously have the screen ...... don't let it bother you. The time and $ you'll spend on it is probably not worth it.

side question, do the manual controls support the factory remote start climate options? example: remote start under 40 degrees automatically turns heat up
