Converting Metric Cluster to US Spec??

I am interested in a truck, BUT its a Canadian model so the Cluster is metric. Is it as simple as converting it by swapping out clusters and of course re-calc the mileage so it is accurate for the records? Same for Gas and Diesel? I do not think the guy will let me take his dash apart pre buying it to swap in a cluster.

swap the cluster and if needed edit the speedometer perimeters on the pcm to correct any anomalies.

Hey, did you have to do anything else to yours to make it legal in the states? Mine is Canadian too
